Linda Young, Secretary, is a Brighton resident of 13 years who truly embraces the idea of community. She is the founder and Executive Director of Brighton Shares The Harvest, a Nonprofit which enables people to grow produce to feed their families or donate to others, an active member in the Brighton Chamber of Commerce, a charter member of The Greater Brighton Neighborhood Volunteers, and a member of the Market Day planning committee and the Relay for Life Event committee. In these volunteer positions, Linda has learned a great deal about fundraising, public relations, and marketing for Nonprofit organizations. Linda joined the heART of Brighton because she loves the Armory, and wants to support it as a venue for art and entertainment that is accessible to everybody in the Brighton area.
Prior to her full-time volunteer work, Linda was a manager at Qwest Communications, responsible for the Information Technologies’ Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs. She and her husband Terry live in Todd Creek Farms, and do their shopping, dining, playing, and learning in Brighton.
